Fundamental Data Recap, October 12-16, 2015

Last week the greenback again weakened against all major currencies except for the Japanese Yen . Since the release of the ISM Manufacturing Index and Non- Farm Payrolls which is not as expected, the US dollar continues to weaken and continue until the last week in line with the ISM Non-Manufacturing index and the trade balance are also below market expectations . Weakening greenback peaks occur when the release of the minutes of the FOMC meeting September 2015 which was more dovish than expected .

From the minutes of the FOMC meeting seemed ready to raise interest rates , but at the last moment canceled realized. In addition to waiting for repair jobs data as mentioned in the final statement, the FOMC members also see the low level of inflation and the strong exchange rate of USD as the primary consideration for delaying the rise in interest rates. Although considered dovish but the majority of FOMC members still expect a rate hike this year , including the chairman of the Federal Reserve Janet Yellen, while most analysts expect the Fed interest rate will persist until March of next year.



The movement of the greenback this week will be determined by the retail sales data ( Wednesday) and inflation in September (Thursday ) . September Retail Sales are expected to rise 0.2 % while total September CPI y / y expected to contract by 0.2 % ( or -0.2 % ) and core CPI rose 1.8 % return . If the results of the release below the expectations of the estimated USD to fizzle . Meanwhile the commodity currencies shine again last week . The increase in oil prices boosted the loonie and increased milk price index causing the Kiwi strengthened , also iron ore prices rebound and gold make the Aussie back rally .

Data and other important events are the UK inflation, China's inflation, the index ZEW Economic Sentiment Germany, Jobless Claims and the index of the average wage in the UK, the Australian workforce, US consumer confidence index version UoM, Jobless Claims and jolts US Philly Fed index Manufacturing US , US PPI and speeches by FOMC members .
